Dairylain Farms, LLC retrofitted its existing facility for robotic milking in 2016. Today, the operation milks 450 Jerseys with eight Lely Astronaut A4 robotic milking systems.

Since the transition, the dairy has seen enhanced herd health with a 15,000 drop in somatic cell count (SCC). Lely automation has also improved the dairy's reproduction, allowing the team to breed at the optimal time. As a result, the herd is currently averaging two AI servings per conception. Check out this week's Coffee Talk with Kayla Rushing of Dairylain Farms, LLC and Lely Sales Account Manager Tami Tollenaar to learn more about how Lely robotic milking has impacted this large dairy operation!
